What career & life path led you to working at OneVest?
For as long as I can remember, I’ve always been a people person. Whether it was group work during university or working with different community organizations in Calgary, I’ve always gravitated toward having meaningful & impactful conversations with people. This is why my background in public relations & communications lead me to OneVest: the ability to have disruptive conversations around a field that has been inaccessible for far too long in Canada is built into our culture’s DNA.
What do you do at OneVest?
Currently, I’m a Client Experience Specialist that helps people understand and resolve issues within the OneVest platform. My role differs from previous ones because I get to directly apply my passion for public relations and communications. Learning the app, and getting to build out a campaign scheduling system has been particularly exciting projects to get to work on. It’s so rewarding to get to grow as a young professional and adult with this incredible group of people.
What is your favourite part about working at OneVest?
My favorite part about working with OneVest is that I feel heard, supported, and encouraged to learn and grow. Working with the team is exciting and rewarding because not only do I feel like I have a safe space to work in (in-person and remotely), but I feel like I’m contributing to something really big and meaningful too. The flexibility is incredible as well - words almost don’t do it justice.
What do you do outside of work?
I love traveling to new places, going for coffee with family & friends, sports (volleyball, tennis, and skiing are my favorite), and sharing my Canadian nature photography on my Instagram page (@msp.visuals)! ☺️
