What career & life path led you to working at OneVest?
I've always enjoyed organizing teams and projects and seeing them take shape. I’ve also felt most at home with smaller teams trying to build something big - which led me to work with app and web agencies, my own company, and startup teams. After leaving my hometown of Ottawa and spending a few years in Vancouver, the next stage of my life brought me to Calgary, where I knew I had to be part of the OneVest team.
What do you do at OneVest?
I lead the Operations team; which helps tie together many parts of the business that keep things moving not directly tied to the product or investments. Coming from a project management background, it’s been great to adopt a 40k view in creating processes, helping guide partners through implementations, and finding creative ways to make sure all the inputs and outputs into the business are running smoothly.
What is your favourite part about working at OneVest?
Everyone on the team is incredibly talented and fiercely passionate about disrupting traditional wealth management. It’s incredibly inspiring to work as part of a team where egos don't rule; but, always doing better does. Best of all, as a soon-to-be parent, the flexibility of hybrid work means I can balance my time, do my best work, and enjoy my life, too!
What do you do outside of work?
In my free time, you'll usually find me renovating some part of my house or yard, camping or snowboarding in the Rockies, trying out a new local restaurant or brewery, or just planning my next adventure!
